ABSTRACT
Sichuan government for the first time issued a strategic plan of creating a “Golden
Triangle” of Chinese spirit in 2010 Shanghai World Expo. The “Golden Triangle” is
composed by the six most famous brands of Chinese spirit: Wuliangye, Luzhoulaojiao,
Tuopai, Jiannanchun, Langjiu, Shuijinfang. The “Golden Triangle” represents the new
development of cooperation and win-win situation of outstanding Chinese spirit brands.
Governments and relevant departments of many cities in Sichuan, including Luzhou,
Suining, Deyang, Chengdu, take active measures and great resource support to help the
growth of local Chinese spirit industry. Although governments have put various
supporting measures and efforts, there are still lots of difficulties in the process of
developing Chinese spirit business, especially for those second-line and third-line brand
spirit companies. Due to various problems, including capital limit, long production
cycle and lack of effective asset mortgage of small and medium-sized spirit companies,
therefore, problem of re-financing has become an urgent issue for small and
medium-sized spirit companies. Sichuan Yibin has maintain its local spirit company
“Wuliangye” growing bigger and stronger, while innovated of new ways of financing
model for spirit business, it encourages both scale and centralization of second and
third-line spirit companies. No doubt this is also the key factor that will make Yibin a
core position in the “Golden Triangle”.
In paper, through analyzing the status of spirit industry in Yibin, we create new
model of financing for local spirit companies innovatively.
