ABSTRACT
Performance management as well as the staffs and their works in research institutes has special
properties. All kinds of ideas and methods in performance management perfectly fit with the need
of human resource management in research institutes, which can improve effectively the
performance level of research institutes and their staffs. This paper aims at the improvement
research on the performance assessment of staffs in CAEERI, CAS. Based on the research of the
existing assessment methods, understanding of the relative concepts and theoretical foundation on
performance assessment, deep analysis was conducted by referring to relative documents
published.This paper reflected on problems with performance assessment in CAEERI on the basis
of the current situation analysis of performance assessment and theory on this aspect, and
attempted to construct the performance assessment index system and the effective incentive
mechanism.By exploring and improving performance assessment, the development of qualified
personnel in CAEERI can be advanced ,and it can be also used as reference by other institutes in
CAS.
