Abstract
Supply chain management focuses and emphasizes the core competence of
enterprises. This concept of management emphasizes enterprises to form their core
competence according to their own characteristics specializing in a particular filed and a
type of business. In order to do so, enterprises are required to outsource non-core
competence to others, which is so called non-core competence outsourcingpared
with the traditional method which is the vertical integration control and finishing all
aspects business, those enterprises which outsource emphasize focusing resources of theirs
on carefully selected competitive business. This competitive business is techniques and
knowledge that truly distinguish the enterprises from their competitors. Other important
but not core business could be outsourced to worldwide professional enterprises. At the
same time, outsourcing enterprises could build and maintain a tight cooperation with them.
This could raise the operation quality to the world class level. The necessary cost of
reaching that level could be the same with or even less than the current cost. Additionally,
huge investment could be saved.
This thesis focuses on how to apply the theoretical knowledge of supply chain
collaborative management to understand the actual issues exist in outsourcing business in
electronic and information industry. The purpose is to reduce the uncertainty of
cooperation during outsourcing supply chain business and cost and to gain profit to
increase the competence of the industrial supply chain by enhance the collaboration of
outsourcing supply chain business in electronic and information industry. Lastly, this
paper sets a case of company K as the research object to provide a solution of supply chain
collaboration management on a base of diagnose analyzing the issues which exist during
the process of outsourcing its supply chain business. The case is for explanation of how
electronic and information enterprises implement the supply chain collaboration
management provided by professional supply chain companies during outsourcing to
reduce cost and raise the efficiency to achieve long term collaborative development by
promoting the core competence of the enterprise in the supply chain network.
