随着国际间科学技术交流的日益频繁，集中在文学翻译理论与实践方面的 传统翻译人才已经无法满足市场对科技型翻译活动的需求，致使科技翻译受到了 前所未有的重视。 本翻译实践报告以译者翻译的盐城恒康机电有限公司《电机质量问题手册》 为基础，借助功能派目的论的理论支持，对翻译目的，翻译过程、译文功能等进 行分析、研究和汇报，并对翻译任务中的感悟和体会进行经验总结与反思。 报告主要包括“翻译任务描述”、“翻译过程描述”、“翻译案例分析”和“翻 译实践总结”四个部分，其中尤以案例分析为主体，以实践总结为重点。报告依 托对《电机质量问题手册》的中译英文本，在陈述翻译任务和执行过程的基础上， 对文本的文体特征加以分析，继而对科技翻译的理论、策略与技巧进行可操作性 探究。最后，报告对翻译过程中出现的错误和问题予以总结，以期为未来的翻译 实践提供借鉴。 关键词，电机质量问题；科技文本；文体特征；功能派目的论；翻译策略II Abstract With the increasing of international scientific and technological exchanges, traditional translation experiences and studies focusing on literary translation and translation theory can no longer satisfy the demand of market for science and technology translation. As a result, unprecedented attention has been paid to science and technology translation. Based on the author’s own experience in translating The Quality Manual of Electric Motor originally written by Yancheng Hengkang Mechanical and Electrical Co. Ltd, this translation report analyzes and discusses the translation purpose, translation process and translation functions in virtue of the support of Skopos theory. The report also sums up the experience and rethinks the perception during the translation task. The report is divided into four parts: Translation Task Description, Process Description, Translation Cases Analysis and Translation Practice Conclusion, with Case Analysis as the focus, and Conclusion as the keynote. According to the Chinese to English handbook of The Quality Manual of Electric Motor, the report analyzes the stylistic features on the basis of translation task statement and implementation process. Afterwards, the research is also made on the theoretical application, strategies and skills of science and technology translation. Finally, in order to provide reference for future translation practice, the report summarizes the mistakes and problems appearing in the process of the translation.
