ABSTRACT
In this time of knowledge economy, competition, information and capital
have become increasingly globalized; companies need to constantly innovate
to drive their business to continue growing. Traditional internal closed
innovation has proven difficult to adapt to the rapidly growing market
demand; it cannot cope with the increasingly fierce competition among
enterprises as well. R & D outsourcing, as a new model in the open
innovation context, has thus developed on a global scale. China's enterprises
had a late start, and thus have not yet fully integrated into the general open
innovation trend. Therefore, researching the impacting factors of R&D
outsourcing has important theoretical and practical implications for
enhancing China's corporate innovation capability, allocating reasonable
innovation, and improving China's overall economic and technological level.
This article will first introduce the external environment of R&D
outsourcing; it then studies and analyzes previous theories; on this basis, it
sums up three impacting factors of enterprise intent upon R&D outsourcing,
namely, cost, innovation resources and risk; the article builds a model as well.
Then, through the model assumptions and analysis, we formulated a
questionnaire containing the factors affecting R&D outsourcing, and
