W公司项目进度管理问题的改进研究
The Improvement of The Project Schedule in W Company
Abstract
In the last two decades since the beginning of the 21st century, with the continuous
development of different economies , high integration of our daily life and information, and the
wide use of a series of flat panel display products such as cellphones, tablets and TV sets, the
panel industry has been developing rapidly and vigorously around the globe. Chinese panel
equipment suppliers keenly seize the business opportunity, to quickly expand market shares by
virtue of advantageous low costs, a great batch of companies grow up rapidly. W Company is a
manufacturing enterprise focusing on display panel production equipment. On the one hand, in
the face of strong market demand, customers are eager to obtain equipment and make profits as
soon as possible, so they have repeatedly asked to shorten the project cycle; On the other hand,
the company's equipment production, installation and progress often lags behind, which
directly affects the payment and cash flow.
Against such a background, this thesis takes the project schedule as the research object
and follows the idea of “finding problems, analyzing problems and solving problem”. First
collected relevant literature on project progress and conducted a systematic analysis to extract
major opinions and theories on the study on project progress in the academic circle. Then, based
on various management theories and methods such as project management, lean manufacturing,
total quality management and process re-engineering, literature research and a combination of
theoretical analysis and field research were employed, using the 5M1E analysis method as the
main model. From the six aspects of man, machine, material, method, environment, and
measurement to find a solution to the delay in project schedule of W Company.
The thesis suggests that W company cooperate with multiple departments to
systematically improve the level of project schedule management. The effective measures
include: 1) carrying out process reengineering and reforming the company's project
management process; 2) While improving employees' skills, improve incentive mechanism and
activate employees' work enthusiasm; 3) Improve the assembly process, adopt new standards
and technologies, and improve the assembly efficiency; 4) Optimize the supplier selection
process, improve the incoming inspection specification of raw materials before entering the
plant, improve the professional ability of inspectors, and solve quality hidden dangers from the
source.
