Introduction
In an efort to gain insight into the challenges and opportunities
facing VR product developers, Yeti conducted a survey during
Q2 & Q3 of 2016. In addition to examining challenges and
opportunities in the VR space, the survey gauged:Key industries
where VR is gaining traction, how well the VR development
process is understood, average time horizons for VR projects,
common obstacles to progress, which platforms & devices are
being focused on, and much more.
Through the results of the survey, Yeti hopes to help those
involved with VR to overcome key obstacles, identify strategic
opportunities, better understand the competitive landscape,
while also shedding light on how VR can be leveraged by
companies or industries that are new to virtual reality.About The Survey
The survey was completed by over 100 product
developers, consisting both of those at VR-centric
companies, as well as those from other industries
that are venturing into VR to expand their product/
service oferings. All respondents are from
companies based in the United States.
